The New River View apartments, being built by principal contractors, Dandara, are due to be completed in Winter 2021. The redevelopment of the site includes the demolition of the existing commercial building to provide a 7 storey block of 91 residential units, with a parking basement level, landscaping and private and communal amenity space.
As part of the project, Dandara required a soffit insulation for the basement level car park with a high thermal performance, able to achieve the required U Value, with a durable impact resistant facing board, light in weight, but robust enough to withstand high impact.
Working with our team of specialists, several materials were considered for use as the soffit insulation for the car park, but Dandara chose Kemwell Soffit Liner Plus, an A1 non-combustible and moisture resistant insulation and building board, ideally suited for providing effective fire resistance and thermal insulation in commercial and industrial building projects.
The Kemwell Soffit Liner Plus incorporates a Kemwell Soffit Liner stone mineral wool insulation board, 160mm thick, with a 6mm thick calcium silicate impact resistant facing board.
Our Encon Insulation and Nevill Long Maidstone branch supplied the Kemwell Soffit Liner Plus to the project.
