The training focuses on the Isover U Protect system and is designed for distributors and contractors who are selling or installing passive fire protection for ductwork. The course offers a good balance of classroom and practical sessions. The classroom session, expertly delivered by Simon Bosher, National Specification Manager, covered the importance of passive fire protection in ductwork applications and provided useful information on the system’s performance and the test standards it achieves.
After talking through the installation process with Simon, the Encon team was given the opportunity to get hands-on with the products and try out the new training rig. The practical session was led and supervised by members of the Academy team, Mo Geranshoab and Aaron Estabrook.
