The new branch, based in a prime location on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate, close to local amenities and easily accessible from the A19, is the result of a merger between our previous Encon Insulation & Nevill Long Newcastle and Encon Technical Solutions Washington branches. The larger site and improved facilities mean customers benefit from an increased range, a wider choice of leading brands and flexible service. Customers can choose to collect from our new trade counter or arrange delivery direct to site.
George Allison, Regional Director – North, Stephen Begg, Assistant Branch Manager, and Brian Hibbert, Business Unit Manager - Technical Solutions, explain how the new branch supports customers and what it means for the region.
“The decision to combine two branches into one, top-class North East branch was taken with customers at the forefront of our minds”, explains George. “The excellent warehouse and yard facilities mean we can offer an even wider range of products from stock, supplying customers with a more comprehensive package of solutions for their projects.
“Our specialist support is also enhanced, with the same expert teams from Newcastle and Washington coming together under one roof. Vitally, customers can trust that their projects are supported by experienced professionals who understand their requirements and are fully conversant with our supplier products and systems.”
Stephen adds: “In a changing regulatory environment, a knowledgeable distributor partner is a valued asset to ensure compliance in areas such as fire safety and energy efficiency. Our team is equipped to provide or facilitate project and technical support in addition to reliable deliveries, continually adding value to our customers.
“Our prominent location on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate places us within easy reach of contractors and builders’ merchants to visit our Trade Counter. With the A19 on our doorstep, we are easily accessible from both north and south, with our modern fleet also poised to make flexible next day and just in time deliveries. This helps us maintain our outstanding service levels and adapt seamlessly to our customers’ needs.”
The move is also timely with exciting developments in the region as Teesside is selected to host three of the UK’s first major carbon capture projects to decarbonise UK industries. With the North East of England historically the engine room of British industry, our branch is perfectly positioned and ready to provide total project solutions to support customers in this next stage of the region’s development.
Brian continues: “After a period of challenging market conditions, there are signs of recovery and a more positive mood. The significant investment we have made in opening the new branch positions us to play an important role in this exciting new phase. We possess the knowledge and facilities to work with customers as Teesside leads the way on the path to Net-Zero by 2050 and a sustainable industrial future.”
