Over 250 suppliers, customers, installers and distributors from across the insulation industry, including members of our Technical Solutions team, gathered in Blackpool Tower’s famous ballroom on the 20th September 2019 for the Thermal Insulation Contractors Association (TICA) Annual Awards Lunch to celebrate the Apprentice of the Year awards, recognising and rewarding the hard work of thermal insulation trainees.
Encon were delighted to be the headline sponsor for the TICA Awards 2019 and sponsors of the Level 2 Apprentice of the Year Award. The event was hosted by TICA Chief Executive, Marion Marsland who emphasised the importance of nurturing and encouraging apprentices in order to help close the skills gap and provide a sustainable, fully trained and knowledgeable workforce for the future.
This year’s guest speaker at the awards ceremony was News Presenter, Steph McGovern, who shared her experiences of being in the media industry.
Level 2 Apprentice of the Year 2019 was awarded to Aaron Doble from RDA Insulation and the award was presented by Bob Cordall – Industrial Development Director.
The Level 2 Apprentice of the Year finalists were Alexander Cook representing RDA Insulation, William Britt representing Wood. Group, Jack Fitchett representing KAEFER, Harry Curtis representing Essex Thermal, Sean Wright and Bradley Varga both representing ICL.
