Steel-frame construction is suitable for numerous building types, including warehouses, residential developments and high-rise multi-storey buildings.
Concrete, steel, or a mixture of both, forms the structure of the buildings which are built on site, or more increasingly so as modules that are linked together on site. Structural steel provides the load bearing structural frame of a building in the form of beams and columns, of which floors, walls and linings are then fixed to.
