Knauf’s Corridor 400 is a highly functional, demountable ceiling system with unique time and installation benefits compared to traditional T-Grid systems. The free spanning, perforated gypsum ceiling tile is ideal for enhancing acoustic performance in corridors and narrow rooms up to 2.4 metres wide.
The innovative solution means ceiling tiles are installed without any main runners, cross tees or suspension hangers, making the system up to three times faster to install than traditional grid systems. The system also allows for easy access to services ensuring practical and efficient management of areas above the ceiling as required.
The versatility of Corridor 400 extends to aesthetics too. The surface of the system is painted white so there is no need for decoration post installation. It can also be painted other colours to fit the environment without impacting acoustic performance.
Corridor 400 is available in three widths and four perforation types for a choice in acoustic and aesthetic options to suit the requirements of the room or area. The border around the edge of the tile is non-perforated, while the different shapes, sizes and patterns of perforations within the tile will vary the amount of absorption and diffusion so it’s important to understand what will work best for the project in hand. Perforations also enhance aesthetic appeal.
Considering the cost of application versus cost of maintenance is an important factor when selecting materials. Knauf’s acoustic gypsum ceilings are hardwearing and durable. They can be in place for 50 years, giving the end user more value than a product that will need replacing every five years.
Gypsum is a natural, 100% recyclable material. Many of Knauf’s gypsum-based products contain a high content of recycled gypsum, and at the end of its lifetime the product is then recyclable again.
Recyclable gypsum products can be converted back into powder to create new gypsum at the end of its life. The cardboard backing can be recycled too, depending on local recycling restrictions.
Wall Angle - Used around the perimeter of a room or corridor, it supports the ceiling tiles.
Shadowline Trim - Used as an alternative to Wall angle, the Shadowline trim is a stepped trim to be installed around the perimeter of the room. It creates a border around the edge of a ceiling.
Flex-Runner - A metal channel unique to the Corridor 400 system that prevents the tiles from sagging over time. Must be installed on every tile within the system.
