ISOCON is an A1 non-combustible insulating material with a microporous core that has a very low thermal conductivity, which means it offers high thermal insulation and fire protection properties.
It has been designed for applications including, roofs, floors, walls, facades and basement soffits which have limited width and require fire and thermal products.
It is a pyrogenic silica based product with opacifiers to reduce radiation and fibres which act as reinforcers. So that the product is easy to manipulate, the core is glued with high temperature adhesive (1000oC) and wrapped with aluminium foil. The foil prevents moisture or liquids from entering the panel.
