On Thursday 19th September, the FIS hosted their annual Scottish Awards that was attended by 180 members, contractors and suppliers. The awards ceremony was held at the InterContinental Edinburgh ‘The George’ and celebrated award winning interiors projects completed in Scotland.
Guests were treated to an after dinner speech by Eric Davidson, one of Scotland’s finest comedy poets, who also presented the awards that pay tribute to design and craftsmanship. This year’s awards included the following categories: Interior Fit Out, Partial Fit Out, Suspended Ceilings, Drywall Construction, Plasterwork, Partitioning, Apprentice of the Year and the Judges’ Award.
The Nevill Long team were delighted to not only attend the event, but to once again sponsor the Suspended Ceilings Award. Silver place went to Linear Projects for their part in The Event Complex development in Aberdeen. The gold award was presented to Brian Hendry Interiors by Dean O’Brien – Regional Sales Manager, for the Balloch Primary School Campus project in Alexandria.
Jason Hemingway – North & Central Sales Director - Nevill Long, reflected on the event: “It’s always a pleasure to attend & support the FIS Awards in Scotland because it’s really well represented by both Scottish contractors and suppliers, and being the proud sponsor of the Suspended Ceiling Awards gives Nevill Long the opportunity to represent a sector of the industry we have a long established history and high level of expertise in. We would therefore like to congratulate the winner, Brian Hendry Interiors, for its excellent installation on the Balloch Primary School Campus project in Alexandria.”
