Damp proof course (DPC) products are required by building regulations for masonry walls to prevent the movement of moisture within cavity wall constructions. They are applied to prevent moisture ingress at ground level. By their nature, masonry walls are not waterproof, so DPC systems are often used in conjunction with damp proof membranes to protect the construction and prevent the spread of damp and mould.
